A week ago, Tecno Mobile Philippines released the Spark 7 for P7,990 (around $159). This time, it has added a more affordable unit from another series to its smartphone lineup in the country.

We at Revü Philippines have spotted the Tecno Pop 5 on the brand’s official store on e-commerce platform Lazada Philippines. The said model comes with a price tag of P3,399 ($68) and is now available for purchase.

As you may have already guessed, this is a starter handset, ideal for people who want to switch from a feature phone. It could be for, say, students who don’t need to do heavy tasks on a mobile device. The Tecno Pop 5 uses a chip paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and is running on a user interface based on Android 10 (Go Edition).

The screen is big at 6.1 inches, and the 4,000mAh battery is decent for the smartphone’s specs. Both the front and main rear cameras are 5 megapixels. And there’s a fingerprint sensor on the back panel, too.

Like many of the brand’s models, the Tecno Pop 5 has a playful design that reminds us of phones like the Realme C25. Besides the usual (Obsidian) black variant, there are two other color options for the more adventurous type: Ice Lake Green and Ice Blue.
