The third series of Vivo smartphones that Blackpink’s Lisa Manoban is endorsing for the Chinese market is official. And one of the models in the lineup is the company’s first phone to get a 108-megapixel camera.
The Vivo S10 Pro with a 108-megapixel main sensor has been launched alongside the Vivo S10 in its home country, with the lone 12GB/256GB version coming in at ¥3,399 (roughly P26,381 or $526 converted). The regular S10 variant in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations, on the other hand, are priced at ¥2,799 (P21,730 or $433) and ¥2,999 (P23,277 or $464), respectively.
How do the two devices compare? What are their differences? Three words: “camera” and “memory configurations.” You already know that the S10 Pro has the highest RAM-and-storage combo. For photos and videos, the vanilla Vivo S10 packs a less sharp, 64-megapixel primary rear sensor. Everything else is the same.

As expected, the Vivo S10 Pro are Vivo S10 are all about how well they perform when shooting, boasting their ability to take ultra-clear night portraits, real-time video-background blur, and pictures with pop-comic style, among others.
Both are equipped with a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1100 5G chip that Vivo says achieved a 677,791 score on Antutu Benchmark. They come with a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED screen, a 4,000mAh battery with support for 44 watts of fast charging, and Android 11 layered with OriginOS.
It helps that the S10 series phones are gorgeous — slim, flat, and with one variant featuring a photochromic back. Think becoming ice blue to pure deep blue in three seconds when the light hits it and back to the original shade afterwards. Here’s hoping that rebranded models will become available in the Philippines.
