Xiaomi has broken yet another world record — nah, make that “world records” — with what it announced earlier today, May 31.
The company has unveiled its HyperCharge 200-watt wired and 120-watt wireless charging technology, taking to heart its “Innovation for Everyone” slogan.
Watch Xiaomi showcase its HyperCharge technology in this video
To showcase what the tech can do, Xiaomi shared the video above, where the brand topped up a custom-built Mi 11 Pro with a 4,000mAh battery. It’s amazing to see the battery go from 0% to 10% in only 44 seconds, then to 50% in a mere 3 minutes, and finally, to a full charge in just eight minutes using the 200-watt wired charging solution. We tend to finish a meal way longer than that.
For the 120-watt wireless charging feature, the battery went from nil to 10% in only a minute, then to half-full in as fast as 7 minutes, and to 100% in just 15 minutes. Impressive.

Xiaomi HyperCharge technology’s new world records
Xiaomi already debuted its 120-watt wired charging method in the Mi 10 Ultra, making the phone one of the fastest-charging mobile devices on the market. It also announced its 80-watt wireless charging technology in October 2020, but we have yet to see it commercially. Hopefully, it won’t take long for the world’s third biggest smartphone vendors to launch handsets that support its latest solution.
