Huawei has quietly launched a more affordable variant of the Huawei MatePad T 10s in the Philippines coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB of base storage. The initial local release of the MatePad T 10s had 3GB RAM and 64GB storage; it arrived at local retail last October with a suggested retail price of P12,999 (around $271).

The 2GB/32GB storage model, which is priced at P11,999 ($250), will be available for preorder exclusively online from May 13 to May 15. Purchases during the said period will be eligible for a mystery box worth up to P8,990 ($188) and includes one of the following:

  2. Huawei GT2e
  3. Gentle Monster Eyewear
  4. Huawei FreeBuds 3
  5. 1,000 Shopee vouchers worth P1,000 ($21)
  6. 1,000 Huawei Store vouchers worth P1,000 ($21)
  7. 20,000 Shopee vouchers worth P500 ($10)
  8. 20,000 Huawei Store vouchers worth P500 ($10)

Customers who pick up the Huawei MatePad T 10s from May 16 to 23 will receive a free Huawei Band 4 valued at P1,890 ($40), in addition to two Grab vouchers worth P250 ($5) each (Huawei Store only).

To recap, the Huawei MatePad T 10s flaunts a 10.1-inch full-HD screen with reasonably slim bezels on all sides. This tablet also has a TÜV Rheinland-certified Eye Comfort mode to reduce harmful blue light and offer a more comfortable viewing experience. There’s likewise an eBook mode, as well as Dark mode to make your apps look better at night.

Impressively, the MatePad T 10s packs stereo speakers on both sides to deliver a more even sound field. The speaker setup is tuned by high-end audio manufacturer Harman Kardon.

On the inside, the MatePad T 10s is powered by Huawei’s own octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710A chipset. While not the latest on the market, the Kirin 710A is capable enough to run two apps side by side using Huawei’s App Multiplier feature.
