Vivo Philippines has finally revealed when you can pre-purchase the latest addition to its bestselling Y series.
[Update, April 9: The Vivo Y20s (G) goes official in the Philippines with a special promo! Ready to #SpeedUpYourGame?]
The company has announced that the Vivo Y20s (G) will be available for preorder starting April 10, so save the date if you are eyeing the phone that we wrote about last week [see Vivo Y20s (G) performance test: Helio G80 + 6GB RAM on a budget] and see what its price and freebies are, if there are any.
No, this is not the same handset that debuted last year. This is the G version, backed by a gaming-skewed MediaTek Helio G80 chip and not by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor that last year’s Y20s uses. The G80 is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
For uninterrupted usage, the Vivo Y20s (G) is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18-watt fast charging. It’s nice to see it ship with Android 11 out of the box, especially since it belongs to Vivo’s budget stable of smartphones.

The 720p screen measures 6.51 inches diagonally; the 13-megapixel primary sensor is assisted by 2-megapixel depth and macro lenses; the selfie camera inside the waterdrop notch is 8 megapixels; and the power key doubles as a fingerprint sensor.
