We just talked about the many products that Realme has and will launch recently yet here we are again writing about another one — and it’s about the successor to a Realme 7 series phone.
(Update, March 24: Up to 108 megapixels and an Illuminating Yellow color variant. The Realme 8 Pro and Realme 8 are official, ladies and gentlemen! Details here.)
(Update, March 14: Confirmed: The Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro, Realme’s follow-up to the 7 series, will be launched March 24. See live pictures and likely specs here!)
We already know that the Realme 8 Pro with a 108-megapixel Samsung HM2 camera sensor is coming, as revealed at the brand’s Camera Innovation Event yesterday, March 2. But today, Realme CEO for India and Europe Madhav Sheth has finally confirmed another member of the lineup, the Realme 8, through a teaser he posted on Twitter.

Sheth teases the Realme 8 series
A Realme 8 Pro unit figures in the picture, with its back design clearly shown there. Look further, though, and you’ll find two retail boxes of the regular Realme 8. And what else do you see? Yeah, the key specs of the vanilla version.
We can now say that the Realme 8 has finally made the jump to AMOLED; the device comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen. It’s revealed to feature a 64-megapixel AI quad camera on the back, a 5,000mAh battery that supports 30 watts of fast wired charging, and a MediaTek Helio G95 processor. If you notice, those are the same as on the Realme 7, but we don’t know what the sensors that support the main one are.
The packaging also claims that the Realme 8 is “super slim and light.” And while there’s something about Google Android there, we can’t see the OS version. Hopefully, it’s already Android 11.
There’s no word yet about the series’ launch date. Expect it to be announced sooner rather than later, though.
