Are the Realme 6 series phones still worth buying in 2021? Our answer’s a resounding yes, especially now that the said units are now cheaper in the country.

Realme Philippines has announced that starting today, February 5, it’s dropping the prices of the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro by P3,000 (approximately $62 converted). This means that the 4GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB versions of the regular 6 model now cost P8,990 ($187) and P10,990 ($228), respectively. The lone variant of the Pro, on the other hand, is down to P13,990 ($291) from P16,990 ($353).

Realme Philippines’ price-drop announcement for the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro

The Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro are successors to the Realme 5 lineup, which debuted quad rear cameras to the brand’s mainstream series. The highlight is their screen that has a refresh rate of 90Hz. The general rule is that fast displays allow for smoother gaming and higher frame rates in games that support it.
