There’s a new Y20i in Vivo Philippines’ stable of smartphones, and it’s already available for purchase.
The Vivo Y20i 2021 is not to be confused with the Vivo Y20i that was released in October this year. Upon checking the new model’s specs, it turns out to be the Vivo Y12s in other markets — the one we talked about in this article we published almost two weeks ago: Vivo Y12s with 5,000mAh battery official in several markets.
Both Y20i devices have respective suggested retail prices of P7,499, or roughly $156 converted. But they sure look similar, with the same color variants on offer here in the Philippines. They also share many specs, including a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10 watts of charging, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 13-megapixel megapixel dual camera, an 8-megapixel selfie shooter, an HD+ screen that measures 6.51 inches, and a 4GB/64GB memory configuration.

So how do the two phones differ? The Vivo Y20i 2021 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 12nm processor while the non-2021 variant has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 11nm chip inside. The Y20i 2021 also ships with Android 10-based Funtouch OS 11. The Snapdragon 460 version on sale in the Philippines, on the other hand, has Funtouch 10.5 out of the box.
Whether you buy the new release or the previous one, you are eligible to win a Ford EcoSport and other premium prizes or have your wish granted by Vivo Philippines. Read this article for the mechanics: Vivo PH to give away Ford EcoSport, grant wishes this Christmas.
