Nearly two weeks ago, we reported that the Vivo X50 Pro will be locally launched as the first 5G phone from the brand. Now we know that it’s not the only model that’s coming here this month.

(Update, August 22: Finally official! Read Vivo X50 Pro 5G, Vivo X50, Vivo TWS Neo launched in PH.)
Vivo Philippines, the country’s No. 1 smartphone vendor in the second quarter of 2020, has revealed that the X50 series will be available here, and the lineup will become official August 22. However, we don’t know if all of them — four in total — will be offered to local consumers. (Update: No, the Plus won’t be released locally.)

The Vivo X50 series is marketed as a camera-focused line, with the Vivo X50 Pro getting a gimbal system modeled after a full-size, professional gimbal that moves in the opposite direction of the camera to stabilize it. Here’s how a video shot on the Pro is supposed to look.

Some shooting modes on offer are Super Wide-Angle, Super Macro, Super Night, and Astro. The two most premium of the four feature 60x Hyper Zoom, which devices from Vivo’s sister brands — the OPPO Find X2 Pro and Realme X3 SuperZoom — have as well. You can see how the models compare specs-wise below.
