Good news: You have another chance to score Huawei devices at a discount, saving you a couple of hundred or thousand pesos, depending on the item.
During Huawei Philippines’ Super Brand Week on ecommerce site Shopee, 10 products will get as much as P6,191 (around $127) off their current suggested retail prices. From August 19 to August 21, the following will be priced as follows:
DEVICE | SRP | SALE PRICE |
Huawei Band 4 | P1,890 | P1,134 |
Huawei GT2e | P6,990 | P5,990 |
Huawei Y7 | P6,990 | P6,490 |
Huawei Y9 Prime | P10,990 | P8,750 |
Huawei Y9S | P10,990 | P8,750 |
Huawei Nova 7i | P13,990 | P13,590 |
Huawei Mate 30 | P30,990 | P24,799 |
Huawei MatePad Pro | P32,990 | P27,990 |

Huawei MateBook D 14 | ||
*AMD Ryzen 5 | P39,990 | P35,990 |
*AMD Ryzen 7 | P42,990 | P38,590 |
Of the 10 products, the Huawei Mate 30 gets the biggest markdown. It was the company’s flagship model last year, launched in the Philippines in October for P34,990 ($720), so this is a great deal.
Of course, if you want something future-proof, then see if the Huawei P40 5G phone is for you. With Globe Telecom and Smart Communications slowly rolling out their respective 5G networks, both of which we’ve tested (click here for one of our tests on Globe’s network, and on this for Smart’s), it’s nice to know that you won’t have to replace your unit for the next couple of years to be able to connect to a faster, more reliable mobile-internet connection… should you not want to.
If you’re a student or a young professional who is studying or working — or about to study or work — from home for safety issues, then we suggest that you consider getting the Huawei MateBook D 14. It is one of the laptops we are using now, and we even used it to edit 1080p videos like this one, which is about the, um, D 14, too. Have a look, and see what it’s capable of.
