You can now get the Huawei Mate Xs 5G exclusively from Globe Platinum through ThePlatinum Plan 4999 — the telco’s featured postpaid plan for the device. For P4,999 (around $101) a month for 24 months and a one-time cash out of P70,800 ($1,432), you get the following:
- all-month data surfing;
- two days of data roaming;
- unlimited calls and texts to subscribers of all networks;
- unlimited calls to DUO and landline in the same area;
- P1,500 ($30) worth of consumable allowance;
- double Globe Rewards Points, where two points are earned for every P50 ($1) billed amount; and
- access to Globe Priority Network; Thea, the Globe Platinum digital assistant; airport lounges; and priority-passenger programs, among others.
However, take note that only 50 Huawei Mate Xs 5G units will be up for grabs. Off-contract, the foldable smartphone is priced at P139,999 ($2,831). Some of its highlights include a falcon-wing design that’s more durable than the one on the Mate X; a powerful Kirin 990 chip; and an integrated 40-megapixel Supersensing Leica Quad-Camera System.

This is the sixth 5G Huawei model in Globe Telecom’s stable. Already on offer are the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G variant, Huawei Nova 7 SE, Huawei P40, Huawei P40 Pro, and Huawei P40 Pro Plus. Pretty much a signal that the Ayala-led telco is indeed going to officially launch its 5G service this month.
