Preorders are now live for the most affordable 5G-enabled smartphone in the Philippines. The Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G is priced at P19,990 (around $398) locally, and it will be available for pre-purchase in the country via Lazada and local retailer Abenson.

The preorder period will run until June 21 through the said channels as quarantine restrictions to limit the spread of the coronavirus are relaxed in most parts of the country.

Early adopters will receive a free pair of Huawei Freelace wireless earphones (limited to the first 750 buyers) and 15GB of storage courtesy of Huawei Cloud for a whole year. A P500 ($10) non-refundable deposit is required if you’re getting the Nova 7 SE from Lazada. The redemption date, or the first day of shipping, is set for June 22.
In the Philippines, the Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G is currently available in two colors — Space Silver and Crush Green. We don’t know if the Midsummer Purple version, which looks like the Huawei Nova 5T variant of the same name, will launch here, but we’re crossing our fingers.
Of course, the biggest highlight is Huawei‘s own Kirin 820 chipset inside that features an integrated 5G modem and is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
In case you’re not familiar, 5G is the new standard for mobile connectivity in the country, and both local telcos promise to officially launch their 5G networks and technologies for consumers this year. It supports higher speeds, higher bandwidth, and more stable network connections compared to 4G.
