Realme has started rolling out its Realme UI software update to the Realme 3 and Realme 3i smartphones, joining the Realme 3 Pro, which received the update in late January.

You might recall that earlier, the company pushed out the beta updates for these two devices.

Realme UI is based on the latest Android 10 operating system. The Realme 3 launched in the Philippines in March 2019 with a starting price tag of P6,990 (around $139) for the base variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, while the Realme 3i did not get a local release.

The new software bumps up the version to RMX1821EX_11.C.09 and weighs in at around 200MB. The update hasn’t been uploaded yet on Realme’s official Indian website, so you’ll need to wait for the download notification to pop up on your phone to get it.

Realme UI brings a complete visual overhaul to the user interface and optimizes navigation gestures, as well as the Camera app and Smart Sidebar from ColorOS. It also adds new wallpapers, Global Search, the ability to customize the size, shape, and style of homescreen icons, and many more.

The Realme 3 has a 6.2-inch screen with HD+ resolution, and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 chipset with Mali-G72 graphics. It has two cameras on the back and one on the front, in the waterdrop notch at the top bezel of the display.

It also gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 4,230mAh battery that charges over microUSB. For the money, those specs are pretty decent, and the upgrade to Android 10 will certainly improve performance and make the UI feel more responsive and less cluttered.
