After experimenting with a rotating camera in the Galaxy A80, Samsung is reportedly working on its first smartphone with a pop-up selfie camera, a la devices such as the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019, Xiaomi Mi 9T, Vivo V15 Pro, and OPPO Reno 2F.
According to Steve Hemmerstoffer of Slashleaks — more popularly known as @Onleaks on Twitter — and accessories site Pigtou, what you’ll see in the video below is what you should expect from the Korean technology giant this year. The handset is believed to be part of the Samsung Galaxy A series.

On the back of the smartphone are three cameras and a fingerprint reader. Up top is what seems to be an IR blaster, while at the bottom, there’s a USB Type-C port, a noise-cancelling microphone, and a speaker grille. No 3.5mm headphone jack here, folk — and we’re okay with that, really. Along the right edge are the power and volume keys.
The (full) screen, which we suspect is of the LCD kind, allegedly measures 6.5 inches. The whole unit itself is approximately 160.9mm in height, 77mm in width, and 9.2mm in thickness — which should go up to 9.77mm if you take the camera bump into account.
There’s no word yet on when this Samsung is going be launched, but we sure are waiting for it.
