The Realme 6i debuted in March as the world’s first smartphone to use a MediaTek Helio G80. Competing handset brand Xiaomi‘s Redmi could be getting an upgrade of the said chip first.
The Xiaomi Redmi 10X with model number Xiaomi M2003J15SC has been listed on the site of China Telecom Corporation subsidiary Tianyi Telecom Terminal. And the database reveals that it’s powered by a Helio G85, which is rumored to be a 12nm chipset that has two cores of 2.0GHz Cortex-A75, six cores of 1.8GHz Cortex-A55, and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.
Recall that the same phone model has already been certified by Chinese certification authority TENAA. The name “Redmi 10X,” on the other hand, was spotted by mobile-software development community XDA Developers in the MIUI 11 Developer ROM.
Seen priced at ¥1,499 (around P10,730 or $212), the device features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. It also sports a 6.53-inch punch-hole screen with 2,340 x 1,080 resolution; a 5,020mAh battery with support for 22.5-watt fast charging; a headphone jack; and Android 10-based MIUI 11.

The Redmi 10X is said to come equipped with a 13-megapixel selfie shooter and a rear quad-camera setup with 48-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors paired with two 2-megapixel ones, likely for depth-sensing and macro. The look has that Redmi Note 9 series design language.
With the recent listing of the unit, we sense a launch coming up soon. Hopefully, we get to see a release in the Philippines, too.
