Could the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite, the most affordable member of the Mi Note 10 series judging by its name, really go official April 30?

(Update, April 30: And it’s official! Read Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Mi Note 10 Lite launched.)

While we find it hard to believe that a smartphone from another lineup will also be launched at the scheduled Redmi Note 9 series global announcement, a thread in the Mi Community seems to suggest so.

The post has “[Announcement] Take a Note: Guess who’s back?!” as its headline. It didn’t mention the name “Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite.” However, the feature image clearly shows the said device — and in white, black and purple.

A few days ago, Roland Quandt, whom people in the technology industry should know as a reliable tipster, also claimed that the Lite will be unveiled with the Redmi Note 9 (supposedly the Redmi 10X in China) and Redmi Note 9 Pro. The phone will allegedly have a 6GB/128GB memory configuration and — guess what — white, black, and purple color variants, same as in the image above.

The claim, at least for Europe

Already certified by different authorities, the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite is said to feature a 6.47-inch OLED screen with a waterdrop notch; a 64MP + 8MP + 8MP +5MP + 2MP rear camera; a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor; a 5,260mAh battery with support for 30-watt fast charging; and Android 10-based MIUI 11.

If true, will Xiaomi Philippines bring the smartphone here as well? Let’s see in the next few days. Stay tuned.
