We’ve known for a while that Realme is going to be present at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Now, at least the company itself has announced on social media that it will be holding its first global launch at MWC 2020. Well, more like “tease.”
(Update, February 10: Well, hello there. Read Realme X50 Pro flagship confirmed to launch Feb 24.)
The European and Indian Twitter accounts of Realme tweeted the same post below at around the same time. The coordinates in the image that accompanies the tweet point to Barcelona.

Realme teases its first global event
We already briefly mentioned that Realme is holding its launch on the 24th in this article, but it seems that not a lot of people who are attending the annual technology show has checked the MWC app. A tip: If you’ll be at MWC 2020, download the application, go to the Partner Programmes section, and you’ll find this.
Yup, it clearly says that Realme will host its event at 10 a.m. on February 24, the first day of the exhibition that will last until the 27th.
The description of the activity says, “In the 5G era, Realme will be dedicated to the popularizer of cutting-edge technology, promoting the popularity of 5G networks worldwide and bringing new 5G phones with power and style to global users.”
We are guessing that the world’s fastest-growing smartphone brand will launch its flagship handset there. Could it be the top-end version of the X50, the Realme X50 Pro, which was recently spotted in Antutu?

A Realme phone with model number RMX2071 was spotted in version 8 of the benchmarking tool with a score of 574,985, the highest rating we’ve seen thus far. It’s logical to assume that it’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor.
Besides phones, Realme is also expected to unveil a smart TV and a smartband at MWC 2020.
