After opening preorders in the country, Samsung Electronics Philippines has launched the new Samsung Galaxy A71, a premium midrange phone with a Galaxy Note 10-like front panel and quad rear cameras in a rectangular module. It arrives as the successor to last year’s Galaxy A70 and will be available from February 15.

In the Philippines, there’s just one configuration of the Galaxy A71, which includes 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The handset is priced at P22,990 or around $451 and, just like its predecessors, comes in three colors — Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush Blue, and Prism Crush Silver. That’s a great value proposition compared with similar phones like the OPPO Reno 2.

As we previously mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy A71 will be available for pre-purchase from February 5 to 14 through authorized online and offline retail channels. In-store customers can decide between two bundle offers — a JBL Clip 3 Bluetooth speaker and a voucher worth P2,000 ($39). Online orders during the preorder window will ship with a JBL Clip 3 freebie.

On top of that, all those who buy the Galaxy A71 early will receive a free two-month subscription to YouTube Premium, which includes YouTube Music. A subscription code will be provided upon redemption.

Preorders for the smartphone can be made at any Samsung Experience Stores and participating retailers nationwide. Similarly, it will be available at the following online stores:

To recap the specs, the Samsung Galaxy A71 features a sizable 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with an embedded fingerprint sensor, a 4,500mAh battery with 25-watt fast charging, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G that runs One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 out of the box. The main sensor is 64 megapixels, making the A71 the first Samsung device equipped with a super-high-resolution sensor.
