Make way for Huawei Philippines‘ new laptop that offers great value for its price.

The Huawei MateBook D 15 is official in the country, only days after it was first teased by the technology giant. Priced at P37,990 (around $747) for the model with 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD, it’s Huawei’s entry in the midrange category. Its launch brings to two the notebooks that the company has brought in here. The first was the more powerful MateBook 13.

Preorder starts February 8 and ends on the 14th, with availability scheduled for February 15. You can see the list of stores here. Every early purchase comes with P9,990 ($197) worth of the following freebies:

• Huawei T3 8-inch tablet;
• Huawei backpack; and
• Huawei Bluetooth mouse.

The Huawei MateBook D 15 boasts a big IPS display measuring 15.6 inches with thin, 5.3mm bezels and an 87% screen-to-body ratio. This makes the display perfect for watching videos, getting some work done, and do just about anything on the laptop.

The device looks and feels premium, as it’s encased in an aluminum-alloy body. It’s easy to carry around because it’s slim and lightweight; it weighs just 1.53 kilograms with a mechanical hard drive, and the chassis is a mere 16.9mm thick when closed.

What’s more, the MateBook D 15 has a Huawei Share feature, so if you have a Huawei phone, you can just drag and drop files between the laptop and your handset. An AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor, a hidden HD camera between the F6 and F7 keys, a big touchpad, a full-size chiclet keyboard, and support for 65-watt fast charging complete the package.

So bang for the buck? On paper, this MateBook definitely is one.
