The Honor Band 5 Sport edition has already been announced for the Malaysian market, with release set for November 11. So we’re not really surprised when Honor Philippines revealed that the fitness tracker is also going to be available here.
In fact, the Honor Band 5 Sport will likewise be launched in the country November 11, when the biggest online-shopping sale happens. And the more exciting news? On that day, the product will be sold for only P899 (around $18) at the Shopee 11.11 Big Christmas Sale; its regular price is P1,090 ($22).

You can use the Honor Band 5 Sport edition as your virtual running coach, as it can detect the following:
- foot-strike pattern;
- landing impact;
- ground-contact time;
- cadence;
- step length;
- eversion excursion; and
- swing angle.
It can be your courtside buddy, too, because it monitors workout duration, active time, active-time ratio, distance traveled, calories burned, step counter, vertical-jump height, vertical-jump count, hang time, and movement speed.
The Honor Band 5 Sport can serve as a personal digital assistant as well. Pair it to your smartphone, and you can read your messages and see — and reject, if you so wish — incoming calls. That’s where you can check information like calories burned and step count, too.

You can wear the fitness tracker even if you want to shower or swim in shallow water, as it’s water-resistant up to 50 meters. You don’t even have to worry about charging the Honor Band 5 Sport often; its battery can last up to 14 days. It features two wear modes, a six-axis sensor, a braided fiber strap, and a band that’s made of recycled fiber from waste bottles.
And if this looks familiar, it may be because you have already seen the Huawei Band 4e. 😉
