After launching in India in August, the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro with quad rear cameras will finally make their way to the Philippines next month.
Realme Philippines will host the launch event on October 3, according to the invite we received. It’s unclear if the Realme XT, the company’s first smartphone with a 64-megapixel camera, will also be announced for the local market alongside the Realme 5 series. However, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that that is indeed the case.

The prices of the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro in the Philippines will be announced during the event, which will be streamed live on the company’s social media accounts, as has been the case previously.
But to give you an idea how much the phones may cost in the country, consider that in India, the Realme 5 starts at ₹9,999 (about P7,230 or $140) for 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage, whereas the base Realme 5 Pro gets a ₹13,999 (P10,220 or $195) price tag for 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
It is worth noting, however, that those figures are likely going to be lower than the retail prices here because of the lower taxes for Realme devices in India. Even if they do come out a bit more expensive, they’ll probably still end up being a few thousand pesos cheaper than most of their competition.

Besides their four-camera setup on the back, the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro boast attractive designs, tall LCD screens, high-capacity batteries, and the latest ColorOS 6.0 Android skin on top of Android 9.0 Pie.
In addition, the standard Realme 5 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665, which is the same processor inside the OPPO A9 2020 and Xiaomi Mi A3. The Realme 5 Pro steps up to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712.
