What we thought to be a minor upgrade from the OnePlus 7 turns out to be a significant one, after all.
The newly launched OnePlus 7T gains a bigger screen at 6.55 inches that now has a fast, 90Hz refresh rate, which should translate into smoother interactions. The company calls it “Fluid AMOLED display.” The waterdrop-like notch at the top has become smaller by 31%.

From a setup that pairs a 48-megapixel main camera with a 5-megapixel depth sensor, the rear system — now placed in a circular module, similar to those of the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro and Vivo NEX 3 — gets three.
A 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x zoom and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 117-degree field of view now join the 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor. The latter features an f/1.6 aperture for better performance in low-light conditions.
OnePlus 7T reveal
The OnePlus 7T’s somewhat larger, 3,800mAh battery supports faster, 30-watt charging as well. In fact, the brand claims Warp Charge 30T is 23% quicker than the previous 30W Warp Charge.
Inside, there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus, the same overclocked chip that powers smartphones like the ASUS ROG Phone 2. The device will ship with Android 10 out of the box.
OnePlus 7T prices and availability
Available in Glacier Blue and Frosted Silver, the OnePlus 7T’s 8GB/128GB variant will be sold in the United States starting October 18 for $599. That’s around P31,214 when converted to Philippine pesos.
An 8GB/256GB option will be released in India beginning September 28 for ₹39,999 (P29,394 or $564). Obviously, the base model there is cheaper, retailing for only ₹37,999 (P27,924 or $536).
We wonder when Digital Walker, the exclusive distributor of the brand in the Philippines, will start selling the OnePlus 7T in the country. We’ll get back to you as soon as we have the release date.
