The Huawei Nova 5i Pro, aka Huawei Mate 30 Lite, is an upcoming midrange smartphone from the Chinese technology giant. It has appeared on China’s TENAA regulatory site with its key specs in tow.
Now, thanks to a tipster, we have fresh live images of the handset showing its front and rear panels, as well as its quad-lens camera setup, which takes inspiration from Huawei’s Mate 20 series.

The pictures also confirm the use of a hole-punch design for the 6.26-inch display to give users a full-screen experience without having a pop-up mechanism like on the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019.
The display won’t have an integrated fingerprint sensor, as expected, although you will find a capacitive one around back, just below the main camera system, which gets a 48-megapixel sensor for regular photos and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
Additionally, the back of the Huawei Nova 5i Pro has a textured finish, similar to what the Mate 20 devices had. Behind the panel, you’ll find a 3,900mAh battery that comes with 20-watt fast charging over a USB-C connection.

Elsewhere, Huawei’s latest 7nm Kirin 810 powers the smartphone, and you get up to 8GB RAM and a maximum internal storage of 256GB to hold your apps and files. Benchmarks of the chipset reveal a powerful midrange processor that might surpass even the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730. The device runs EMUI 9 on top of Android 9.0 Pie.
Huawei hasn’t announced a launch date for the Nova 5i Pro, but the flurry of leaks and rumors preceding its announcement suggests its imminent arrival.
