The ASUS ZenFone 6 is expected to launch next week, May 16th, in Valencia, Spain. The Taiwanese manufacturer hasn’t divulged much about its next flagship smartphone, but now we do know that it will come with a number of big features.
ASUS recently shared an image on social media confirming the ZenFone 6 will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 855 processor. Which is no surprise, thanks to benchmark databases.

The image further reveals that the 2019 flagship will have a Smart Key, possibly a dedicated key for Google Assistant or ASUS’ own digital assistant, on the right side, above the volume rocker and power button. On top of that, the ZenFone 6 has an LED notification light along the upper bezel.
The left-hand side of the phone will house a triple-card tray for two SIM cards and one microSD card, while the base gets a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C port.
A teaser posted by ASUS earlier seemingly confirms the presence of an edge-to-edge screen with almost zero bezels at the top, bottom, and sides. According to a purported ZenFone 6 listing on Antutu Benchmark, the display will get a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels.
In a separate teaser, a company executive posted a photo on Instagram with possibly more ASUS ZenFone 6 details in Morse code. Translated, the code points to a dual-lens camera system at the back with 48- and 13-megapixel sensors, plus a massive 5,000mAh battery that should keep the handset humming for a full day or two.

With regard to pricing, a Taiwanese website claims the base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will cost NT$19,990 or roughly P33,713 or $646 when converted, whereas the 8GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB versions are going to be priced at NT$23,990 (P40,459 or $775) and NT$29,990 (P50,578 or $969), respectively.
We are just a week away from ASUS’ next major hardware announcement, and it certainly looks like the ZenFone 6 will be one of the company’s most ambitious devices yet.
