All it lacks is an official announcement. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has been the subject of many reports lately that we feel we already know the product so well.

One of the most recent leaks reveals the smartphone and its retail box in pictures. How do we know the leak is authentic? The IMEI shown on the box is a real one. Plus, the model number seen there, M1806E7TG, is the same as the Wi-Fi certification tying the _E7T to the Redmi Note 6 Pro name.

This will be Xiaomi’s first device with two cameras each on the front and back. The sensors for selfies are 20 megapixels and 2 megapixels, while the ones on the rear are 12 megapixels and 5 megapixels. The latter is for depth sensing, while the 12-megapixel main rear camera features 1.4μm pixels and dual-pixel auto-focus like the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 (also known as the Poco F1 in India).

The 6.26-inch Full HD+ (2,280 × 1,080) screen has a notch, making it the second Redmi handset to adopt the design made popular by Apple with the iPhone X. The first is the Redmi 6 Pro, whose global version is the Xiaomi Mi A2 Android One phone. However, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is the first from the Redmi series to boast a display with a 19:9 aspect ratio.

The battery is rated at 4,000mAh. And there will be at least two memory configurations: 3GB of RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB of RAM with 64GB storage. There was no mention of the processor in the leaked pictures, but a hands-on video posted on YouTube earlier reveals that the device is using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636, the same chip that powers its predecessor, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro.

We know that the toned-down version of the Mi 8, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth, is launching on September 19. Will the Redmi Note 6 Pro show up on that day as well?
