And you thought the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 Armored Edition won’t be sold in the Philippines? Well, well, well, you thought wrong.

Xiaomi, through its exclusive distributor in the country, Grimalkin, has announced that the model of the Pocophone F1 with Kevlar backing will be available in the Philippines. It’s priced at P22,990 or roughly $426 — P5,000 ($93) more than the 6GB RAM/64GB ROM regular variant and P3,000 ($56) more than the 6GB RAM/128GB ROM regular version.

In case you didn’t know, the said edition pairs 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor. (UPDATE BY XIAOMI: The model that’s coming here has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native memory, not the one with higher memory configuration, as the company previously announced.) DuPont’s Kevlar aramid fiber on the rear panel, on the other hand, should mean a stronger and more lightweight and durable smartphone.

However, in order to get one next week, you have to pay the full amount at the opening of the third Mi Authorized Store here — located at the annex of SM North EDSA — on September 15. Those who preorder the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 Armored Edition will get free BT earphones and a tote bag.
