The Vivo V11 is now official in India, though it won’t be referred to as simply the V11 in the subcontinent. The new midrange phone has been named the Vivo V11 Pro in the Indian market.
OPPO did the same with its latest midrange offering, when it launched the F9 Pro in India last month. With a MediaTek Helio P60 under the hood, to go along with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, the device shares the same internals as the OPPO F9 announced in the Philippines.
Of course, it remains to be seen if the Vivo V11 to be unveiled here on September 11 has similar specs as India’s V11 Pro. However, we won’t be surprised if that ends up being the case.

In the Philippines, the Vivo V11 will be launched on September 11
As for the device itself, it has to be the most exciting Vivo’s ever released in the segment so far, both in terms of design and feature set. The V11 model launched today includes a 6.4-inch OLED screen, which for the first time will be embedded with an in-display fingerprint sensor that Vivo claims is faster and more accurate than the one seen in its NEX flagship phone.
It also brings a smaller notch to the series, allowing the display to occupy almost the entire front and stretch the screen-to-body ratio to 91.27 percent. The notch houses the earpiece speaker, in addition to a 25-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and face unlock.

There is no fingerprint reader on the back of this Vivo V11, which lends a cleaner look to the panel. The back also now has gradient coloring, though the Starry Black model adds a glitter effect to the finish as compared to the more-conservative, somewhat less visually striking Nebula version.
Inside, there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor mated to 6GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. You might recall the Snapdragon 660 as the brains behind the Vivo X21, which we found to be a capable performer.

The battery is 3,400mAh and charges quickly, thanks to Vivo’s own 18-watt, dual-engine fast charging. The phone tops up through a microUSB port instead of the now-popular USB-C standard.
The Vivo V11 announced for India will sell for ₹25,990 (roughly P19,441 or $364) when it goes on sale from September 12.
