If you’re looking to buy for a smartphone with a big battery, you may want to hold off your decision until the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is launched. The device has been penciled in for an official announcement on July 19.
The date has been revealed on the official Weibo account of the newly listed company.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is tipped to have a 5,500mAh battery with support for fast charging, as revealed on the site of Chinese certification body TENAA. And just like the other phones in the Mi Max series, its screen is massive, too. It supposedly has a 6.9-inch display with an FHD+ resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels.
According to the listing, the Mi Max 3 is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. It could be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 or the new Snapdragon 632. However, word has it that there will be a version using a Snapdragon 710 called Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Pro. The 710 is the same chip used by the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE.

RAM options include 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB. Expandable internal-memory configurations, on the other hand, are 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB.
The device is said to be the first in the lineup to have a dual-camera setup — a system pairing a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 main sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary one — on the back. The front gets an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

Based on the case renders that have surfaced recently, the top of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 houses a 3.5mm headphone jack and an IR blaster. The bottom should have a USB Type-C port.
