It looks like the Philippines will be getting the Huawei Nova 3i, the successor to the Huawei Nova 2i, this month.
The more interesting part? It will be priced competitively at P15,990 (roughly $298) and will be available through Home Credit. Preorders are already being accepted (an update on the preorder period here). You just need to make a down payment of P1,000 ($18). Early adopters will get a free, still-undisclosed premium gift worth P2,990 ($56).
(Update: Everything we wrote here came from promoters we messaged on Facebook. But just now, another salesperson sent us this message: “Wala pa pong final release si Huawei sa price. But midrange po siya, between P15,000 ($280) and P17,000 ($317). [Huawei Philippines has not released the final price yet. But the Huawei Nova 3i is a midrange phone, to cost between P15,000 and P17,000.]”
Also, we’d like to point out that we deleted the names of the people we credited here [originally found at the end of the article], as we noticed that their Nova 3i-related Facebook posts, including two of the photos we included in the story, have been pulled down.)

And that’s not all. Huawei Philippines will also be introducing a new endorser. The official promo materials for the Huawei Nova 3i star James Reid. Recall that the Filipino actor, along with his reel and real-life partner Nadine Lustre, used to be part of the Motorola family. The actress has since joined Samsung as its brand ambassador for the Galaxy J6.
Anyhow, based on the photos of the marketing materials, the Huawei Nova 3i, like the Nova 2i, boasts four cameras. The phrase Huawei Philippines uses is “24MP Four AI Cameras.” The dual-camera system at the back pairs a 16-megapixel sensor with a 2-megapixel one. The front, on the other hand, features sensors with 24 megapixels and 2 megapixels.

Apparently, the smartphone will be powered by a Kirin 710 processor clocked at 2.1GHz. The chip is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. Keeping the Nova 3i’s lights on is a 3,340mAh battery.
Clearly, the Huawei Nova 3i is not the same as the device that’s been the subject of leaks in the international scene these past few weeks. The latter has higher specs, as shown in the infographic below. We at Revü discussed the image in detail in this article: Huawei Nova 3 specs detailed in infographic.
The Nova 3 will be launched in China on July 18. Will the Huawei Nova 3i be announced on that day, too? Looks like it.
