The OPPO Find X will be launched a few weeks from now, marking the revival of the company’s flagship series. So we’re not really surprised to see leaks of the smartphone trickling online.
The latest alleged Find X image — seen above — shows a handset that looks like the OnePlus 6. Take note that the last Find phone, the OPPO Find 7 announced in March 2014, was sort of a reference device for the OnePlus One, which was unveiled in April 2014; the two are similar in design. Now, it seems that the tables have turned for the two sister companies.
As you can see, the supposed OPPO Find X in the photo has the same body as the OnePlus 6, with the back tapering inward at the edges. The dual-rear-camera module and flash look alike and are even placed in the same spot.
The OPPO phone’s back just has a pattern — one that is different from the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition. And it lacks a fingerprint sensor, suggesting that the fingerprint reader is either front-mounted or placed under the display, just like on the Vivo X20 Plus UD and X21 UD. Our money is on the latter.

The OPPO Find X is expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory, and the Super VOOC, SmartSensor Image Stabilization, and Dual Camera Zoom technologies it showcased at MWC 2016 and 2017.
Rumors say that it will have a 3D face-scanning feature, a function that is offered by only two devices thus far: the Apple iPhone X and the Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition. The sensor is housed in a notch at the top of the screen.
Other specs heard through the grapevine include a 6.42-inch display with 2K resolution and a 4,000mAh battery.
