Taiwanese hardware manufacturer ASUS announced the ZenFone 5Z in the Philippines quite a while ago, though the high-end phone hasn’t made it to retail just yet. And if you’re one of the many waiting for the device to hit domestic shelves, the good news is that your patience will soon be rewarded.
Yes, the company is finally bringing the ASUS ZenFone 5Z to the Philippine market at the price revealed during its local launch event in April — P29,995 (around $571) for the unit with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage.

In fact, its preorder period has been set, with preorders kicking off from June 4 to 17. According to ASUS Philippines’ announcement on social media, early adopters will — in order of importance — receive a pair of JBL wired headphones, an ASUS power bank, and a clear protective case, all free of charge.

The company is a taking a reservation fee of at least P3,000 or $57 (deductible from the original price, of course, but non-refundable), and claiming begins June 18th. The phone is also expected to go on open sale on the said date. Only the Midnight Blue color variant will be offered at launch.

Talking about specs, you can expect the ASUS ZenFone 5Z to ship with a 6.2-inch notch display running at a resolution of 2,246 x 1,080 pixels; a top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 845; 12- and 8-megapixel dual cameras at the back; an 8-megapixel camera on the front, in the notch at the top of the screen; a 3,300mAh battery that supports fast charging over USB Type-C; and heavily skinned Android 8.0 Oreo.
