The 3GB/32GB variant of the Redmi S2, which Xiaomi calls its best Redmi phone for selfies, is aggressively priced at P7,990 (roughly $152) in the Philippines. It’s already out at Mi Authorized Stores at SM Megamall and TriNoma. But did you know that you can get it for less?
The Xiaomi Redmi S2 will go on (flash) sale on Lazada Philippines this Monday, May 28. From 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., you can get the handset for just P7,490 ($142). It may “only” be a P500 ($10) discount, but for the target market of devices in the budget category, every peso counts.
Countdown to the Xiaomi Redmi S2 flash sale on Lazada Philippines
After unveiling the Redmi S2 in China on May 10, Xiaomi chose the Philippines as the first market outside of its home country to launch the phone in, just as we at Revü had expected. After all, we’ve already claimed the “selfie capital of the world” title. Wise move.
