It’s either Samsung is curiously bad at keeping secrets or some people are really good at sniffing them out. Or, perhaps, some people just can’t be trusted with them.
It appears the cat (or cats?) is out of the bag, folks. Alleged details and images of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ have been published online. And although the Korean company’s flagship series being the subject of gossip and speculation is nothing new, this latest report might be the motherload of cheat sheets for the upcoming smartphones.

German tech site WinFuture claims to have stumbled upon a set of Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ renders, along with their full hardware specifications, which are in line with recent reports. Based on the alleged specs, both devices could offer little in terms of design changes and notable upgrades.
However, they are expected to offer two variable apertures — f/1.5 and f/2.4 — for brighter night shots, just as we heard before. The Plus variant will likely include a bigger, 6.2-inch AMOLED display; a higher-capacity 3,500mAh battery; and two 12-megapixel cameras — one more than the regular Galaxy S9.
The Samsung Exynos 9810 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 are said to power the phones depending on where you buy them, and paying extra for the Galaxy S9+ will get you more RAM.
Color options at launch may include Midnight Black, Coral Blue, Titanium Gray, and Lilac Purple. Scroll to the end for the full specs list.

As for the pricing of these models, past reports have claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will be much more expensive than their predecessors, with the Galaxy S9 reportedly launching in Norway with a price tag that roughly translates to $1,130, or around P59,250. The Galaxy S9+, on the other hand, may cost more than $1,250 (P65,540) for the Norwegian market.
For perspective, unlocked prices for last year’s Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ were set at P39,990 ($763) and P45,990 ($877) in the Philippines, respectively.
Samsung’s February 25 Unpacked event is just around the corner, so we won’t have to wait long for confirmation.
