You may not have expected Huawei to bring the highest-end member of its Mate 10 family to the Philippines. Apparently, you thought wrong. The Porsche Design Huawei Mate 10 will be available in the country starting February 12, 2018.
We don’t blame you. After all, the smartphone is selling for an eye-watering 1,395 euros (around P88,316 or $1,728) abroad. Many companies don’t usually sell their expensive models here, as the Philippines is a price-sensitive country.
Perhaps that is also the reason why only 20 units of the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 10 will be up for grabs here — and they are exclusive to Globe Telecom’s Platinum users at that.

If you have the money, we suggest you consider getting one. The Mate 10 series is great lineup of flagship devices, especially if you are into mobile photography. We even gave the Best Premium Smartphone of 2017 award to the base model.
The Porsche Design Huawei Mate 10 boasts dual Leica-branded rear cameras — the 12-megapixel sensor takes pictures in color, while the 20-megapixel sensor shoots in black and white or monochrome. Those sensors sit behind an f/1.6 aperture lens, allowing them to perform better in low light. Up front is an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
