With MWC [Mobile World Congress] 2018 just around the corner, manufacturers, as is customary in the industry, are beginning to tease products ahead of their respective reveal dates.

Cue Energizer, a company more known for its alkaline batteries, whose upcoming smartphone is likely to be the talk of the tech community over the coming days. And for good reason. The next Energizer phone — dubbed the Energizer Power Max P16K Pro — will boast a power bank-sized 16,000mAh battery. That’s not a typo or an unfortunate auto-correct, we assure you.

Details are incomplete at the moment, and the company has opted not to show the entire appearance of the handset. However, Energizer said the smartphone should come in “an ultra slim (sic) design.” Given the size of the battery — which, we assume, would take forever to charge even with fast charging — we’ll be surprised if it comes in at under 10mm.

Additionally, the Energizer Power Max P16K Pro is expected to score a 6-inch, 2,160 x 1,080 screen with a trendy 18:9 picture format and dual rear cameras consisting of 13- and 5-megapixel sensors. For selfies, there’s an 8-megapixel front-facer. The device also gets an efficient MediaTek Helio P25 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and a roomy 128GB of storage.

Energizer is set to unveil the phone on February 25. So if you’re looking for something that could outlast your grandkids (not literally, of course!), you may want to circle that date.
