The ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite or ZenFone 5Q, depending on where you live, is aimed at consumers with tighter budgets this time around, packing lighter hardware in an equally tall but less impressive body. Its 80 percent screen-to-body ratio isn’t up to that of the premium ZenFone 5 models, yet it’s commendable nonetheless, especially for a midrange offering.

You get a 6-inch LCD touchscreen — 2,160 x 1,080 pixels — on an 18:9 screen ratio. As there’s no room on the front for a fingerprint scanner, ASUS put one at the back for security and convenience.

But the kicker here are the four cameras found in pairs on the front and rear panels a la the Huawei Nova 2i and CloudFone Next Infinity Quattro, among others. There’s one wide-angle camera on each side, which is great for landscape photography and getting more faces and objects in the frame without the help of a selfie stick.

There are two models: one with a Snapdragon 430 at the helm and one with a Snapdragon 630 that supports 4K video recording using the rear-facing camera. Additionally, the ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite offers two RAM and storage configurations at launch: 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. Powering the hardware will be a 3,300mAh battery. Android 8.0 Oreo is the operating system it runs.

The ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite will be available in black, white, and red color versions. Pricing and availability haven’t been announced yet.
