The recently revealed Huawei Mate 10 pricing in the Philippines should be an indication that the local Huawei team’s claws are out indeed. This, right after selling the Nova 2i quad-camera phone for just P14,990 or about $292.

The company’s flagship smartphone will retail at P32,990 or $643. That’s aggressive as aggressive can get, considering that globally, the Huawei Mate 10 will cost 699 euros, or about P41,724 or $814. That’s in Europe, where consumer-electronics goods are more expensive because of higher taxes, we know.
But still, you have to take into consideration that phones are pricier these days, as was predicted in this article we posted in March 2017: Why your next smartphone could be more expensive. Look at the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. It’s selling in the Philippines for P49,990 or $975.
