Sun Cellular’s ‘Narito na ang bagong Sun’ video
Think of it as a sort of a relaunch with this message: a new Sun Cellular, “powered by our newest and widest LTE network with all the big-time offers.” Yep, the company’s network has finally been upgraded to LTE, with support for up to 42Mbps connection speeds. The list of areas covered can be found here.

And the new “big-time offer”? It’s called Sun Big Time Data 70, where you can get 1GB of data, unlimited texts to all networks, and 30 minutes worth of Sun-to-Sun calls for seven days for only P70 (around $1.37). Just text BDATA70 to 247 to register.
Sun Cellular postpaid subscribers will have to wait till around end of October for their LTE-ready SIM cards.
Anyhow, Sun Cellular has urged its subscribers to visit any Sun Shop and have their 3G SIM cards swapped with LTE-ready ones — for free, of course. Unfortunately, the offer is just available for prepaid subscribers for now. Those on postpaid will have to wait till around end of October for their 4G-ready SIM cards.
Hello! Please stay tune for the upgrade for Sun Postpaid subscribers. We will be rolling this out later this month. Thanks!

No word on the actual date yet. The customer service officer who answered our private message asked us to stay tuned.

This is a bummer for people who are actually paying Sun Cellular monthly. Fortunately, end of October is just around the corner. The wait shouldn’t be that long. Till then…
