Soon, Cherry Mobile won’t be the only Philippine-based smartphone brand with an 18:9 phone. CloudFone will be releasing its own line of tall or wide form factors that run Android Nougat sometime this quarter, according to a local website.

We reported earlier that CloudFone will launch at least four devices with an 18:9 screen under the Infinity series. The cheapest one, the CloudFone Next Infinity, will reportedly go for a very agreeable P6,999 (roughly $136). Wowza. The site went on to list the specs and price of each Infinity handset.

CloudFone has its lips sealed as to which Infinity model will hit stores first, should the release come in phases. We’re only a few days away from November, so the answer is probably going to come soon enough.
Will other local brands follow suit? The next couple of months are bound to be exciting for smartphone shoppers in the country.
