Recently, the authority when it comes to cameras hailed the Apple iPhone 8 Plus as the smartphone with the best camera on the market, outperforming the iPhone 8, Pixel, and U11, in that order. Also something to think about: According to the experts, the iPhone 8 outshot every Android handset it had tested.
DxOMark gave the iPhone 8 Plus a rating of 94, setting a new record, and handed the single-lens iPhone 8 a 92. By comparison, the Google Pixel and HTC U11 were each given a 90. Take note that the phones were tested (and retested, in the case of the Pixel and U11) using the website’s updated test protocol, which takes into consideration zoom and bokeh quality.
The Apple iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 8 have set new records.
In its analysis, DxOMark found the Apple iPhone 8 Plus to have the best zoom camera, as well as the most impressive bokeh output among mobile devices. HDR performance was a revelation, while color rendering was “very good” in almost any lighting, even in trickier, mixed-lighting conditions. Exposure was generally even, and colors looked impressively natural.
