The invitation says, “Let’s meet at our place,” which signifies the first-ever launch it is holding at the Steve Jobs Theater on the new Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California.

What announcements should we anticipate from the launch based on the most persistent of rumors?
- Apple iPhone 8. Three smartphones are expected this year, 10 years since the unveiling of the original iPhone. And the showpiece is the iPhone 8, a model with an almost-bezel-less screen, a 3D face-scanning camera, and dual rear cams arranged vertically on the leftmost side of the back. The panel is reportedly made of glass, suggesting that it will support wireless charging. Be prepared to shell out at least $1,000 (roughly P51,155) for it.
- Apple iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus. These two are said to be more like incremental upgrades over the 2016 iPhones, but will be sporting glass panels like the iPhone 8. Which could mean that the 4.7- and 5.5-inch handsets will also support wireless charging.
- Apple Watch. Word has it that several watches will be introduced alongside the iPhones, and one variant is LTE-enabled. Current Apple smartwatches need to be paired with an iPhone to be able to send messages on the go, for example. This time, the product won’t rely on the mobile that much to be able to work properly.
- Apple TV. Get ready for an Apple TV with a higher, 4K resolution and an HDR or hard-disk recorder.
- Apple iOS 11 and macOS High Sierra. As with past iPhone launches, Apple should be set to release the final versions of its new iPhone and Mac software to the public.
Check back here on the 12th for confirmed Apple updates. See you then!
