And while there are plenty of reasons to feel confident about the phone’s imminent domestic release, we’ll focus on the three that carry a bit more weight than others. As with any work of speculation, take this with a grain of salt.
Reason No. 1: The Nokia 8 is said to go on sale in the UK on September 13
Previous reports have pegged the Nokia 8’s worldwide release to be sometime in September, possibly for 599 euros (around P36,500 or $715 before taxes). The exact date remains vague, though it is likely that the phone could be available as early as September 13th, through UK retailer Clove.

In fact, the online-only retailer is already accepting registrations for the Nokia 8, even as it awaits pricing details. If you live in the region, you can leave your email address on the product page, so you’ll know when Clove starts accepting orders.
Reason No. 2: Argomall has begun taking registrations for the Nokia 8 in the Philippines
Similar to what Clove is doing overseas, online store Argomall is also gauging interest in the Nokia 8. The retailer, in case you didn’t know, is among those authorized by HMD Global to sell Nokia handsets here.
What’s more, it looks like Home Credit will be one of the payment options on offer to local shoppers. It won’t be the first time the financing company gets mentioned alongside a high-end smartphone. In the Philippines, one can pay for the P49,990 ($979) Samsung Galaxy Note 8 over 12 months at no interest through one of Home Credit’s payment plans, assuming a 50-percent down payment. It’s not clear if the same would apply for the Nokia 8, of course.

Argomall told us the local price hasn’t been decided yet. Our guess is somewhere north of P35,000 ($685) — but no more than P40,000 ($783). When will it be available here? Good question.
Reason No. 3: Argomall told us the release is likely in September
We asked, and the company obliged. But there’s nothing set in stone yet. If anything, it justifies Argomall’s most recent efforts. We mean, why else would it open registrations for something that isn’t anywhere near its release?
