LG isn’t the only Android manufacturer that’s set to debut an affordable selfie phone in early 2016. Chinese brand Lenovo has also taken the requirements of frugal selfie lovers seriously, as evidenced by its latest effort.

Say hello to the newly announced Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite, a low-cost, compact handset with nice styling and some decent features, including an 8-megapixel selfie camera with flash and a 5-inch, full-resolution display.

The Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite is a $199 handset with nice styling and some decent features, including an 8-megapixel selfie camera with flash.

Inside, you’re looking at a 1.3GHz MediaTek octa-core processor accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to an additional 32GB using a microSD card. Powering the phone is a 2,700mAh battery, while Android 5.1 Lollipop takes care of the software side of things. The rear-facing camera takes up to 13-megapixel photos.

The Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite will be sold for $199 (around P9,500) in the Asia-Pacific market, with shipments arriving sometime in the next few months. Not bad for a phone with good specs and a somewhat sharp front cam.
